Kudos Delivered – 2016 round up

For many, 2016 has crawled by… but for us at Kudos Delivered it has been a fantastic, non-stop ride that has taken our humble London-based contract catering company to places we could never have expected! We signed two amazing new contracts for daily catering delivery as well as a contract extension with one of our biggest clients, Coin Street.

Not only have we proved to our customers that we are able to supply them with the freshest, locally sourced and most importantly, delicious hand-crafted lunches, but also that our awesome team are capable of hosting events both large and small to a very high standard. That’s why we’re proud to share with you our best events from this year:

Starting off with catering for the launch of British Airways’ new flight path to Silicon Valley – which saw us team up with the popular online news website, Mashable, to host an event in the trendy Old Truman Brewery. The Kudos Delivered chefs were given creative control over the menu and they definitely delivered; creating authentic West Coast inspired canapés and bites including ‘Silicon Sliders’ and delicious ‘San Fran Fritters’, which left guests more than pleased! This was a great event to work at and we received nothing but great feedback from both our clients and guests. This most definitely spurred us on to create more and more memorable events for our clients. Full story here.

Another event we are extremely proud of was a picnic for over 400 attendees at the Blackheath Rugby Club, which was commissioned by the highly regarded telecom company, Alcatel Lucent. We opted to go for a British picnic theme which encompassed the best of British food and drink. This proved a perfect fit for the outdoor venue especially with the weather being sunny!

The team created a menu that took some of the classics of British summer time cuisine and made 2them shine. This included a delicious sandwich and wrap platter, as well as light bites featuring favourites such as Coronation chicken rice boxes with fresh salad, broccoli and Stilton quiche, pork pies and mini Cumberland sausages in honey and mustard dressing to name a few.

To top off the event we served iconic British deserts including strawberries and cream, mini chocolate trifles and fruit scones filled with strawberry jam and clotted cream, which all went down a treat!

The month of September was an incredibly busy one for the Kudos Delivered team but we pulled together and hosted a series of different events; starting with 3London Bridge Hospital which required us to cater for 50-100 people on five separate occasions at Warwick Business School at The Shard.

We were tasked with providing hot and cold canapés alongside a stocked drinks bar. We pulled out all the stops and started with chargrilled asparagus wrapped in succulent Serrano ham – this was accompanied by paprika spiced tiger prawns, pesto marinated mozzarella and cherry tomatoes.

Our hot canapés soon followed with delicious light bites in the form of piri-piri chicken skewers with a tomato salsa dip, herb marinated haloumi with a sweet chilli jam and authentic Asian spring rolls with a plum sauce.

We topped the event off with a delicious array of desserts including sweet lemon tarts, chocolate brownie pieces and a delicious fresh fruit platter.

Barclays reception / Exhibition at the Bargehouse

One of the most interesting venues we were at this year was the Bargehouse, situated in London’s South Bank. This venue has oodles of character and is the perfect place to hold an intimate event or exhibition, which we were lucky enough to cater for. The exhibition was the ‘Age Does Not Matter’ show created in conjunction with Barclays, which showcased thought-provoking photography, lectures, installations and more.

We created a delicious array of canapes including chargrilled asparagus wrapped in Serrano ham, mini smoked salmon bagels with cream cheese and dill, chèvre goats’ cheese, caramelised red onion & chive mini quiches, lemon tarts and decadent chocolate dipped strawberries.

October was a great month for us as we had several new customers come on board and work alongside us. We catered for a series of events at the Chelsea Collage of Arts including a three course dinner for 120 attendees. It was a huge success and we have continued to develop our relationship since!

The menu was fully vegetarian and consisted of goats’ cheese bonbon, fig puree, quail’s egg and crushed hazelnut and sourdough croute. This was followed by the main course of wild mushroom arancini and brie cake with mushroom sauce, butternut squash purée and kale.

The guests were incredibly happy with both the starter and the main and our chefs received many compliments. Our chefs made sure they finished by giving guests a pleasant surprise by crafting their signature vanilla and white chocolate cheesecakes alongside poached pears, pear purée and dried raspberries.

November/ December

The last two months of 2016 have been extremely hectic but incredibly rewarding! We have had several different events to host alongside a myriad of different venues to attend; some of our favourites include:

Just Giving’s Christmas party – This was a fantastic Christmas party at Studio Spaces E1, where we provided a fully stocked bar alongside a hot and cold bowl food selection, topped off with delicious canapés! Some of the food we served included:

  • Steak sandwiches in crusty bread topped with tangy red onion marmalade and rocket
  • Truffled shoulder of lamb with delicious cumin roasted beets and crumbled feta
  • Tandoori salmon with apple aubergines & silk gourds.

Our canapé menu included Somerset cheese straws, handmade English vegetable crisps made with beetroot, parsnips and carrots, and finally a buttery Stilton and rosemary shortbread which was perfect for that Christmas cheese fix!

Dixons and Carphone Warehouse Christmas bash This was a Christmas event we managed for 150 attendees at the stunning and uber-cool Nine Adam Street, where we served both hot and cold bowl food with a full drinks service and DJ entertainment.

Our menu consisted of hot and cold bowl food including:

  • A Christmassy mini turkey dinner served in a Yorkshire pudding
  • A beetroot & goats’ cheese salad garnished with wild winter leaves and a hazelnut dressing
  • A hearty tarragon chicken pie topped with garlic creamed mash
  • An authentic spinach tagliatelle with rich tomato sauce finished with Parmesan and toasted pine nuts.

For dessert we served festive millionaire shortbread cakes alongside delicious mini white chocolate and winter berry mousses.

McKinsley Company Christmas party –

We had a great time returning to the prestigious Armourer’s Hall to host an awesome Christmas party for our friends over at McKinsley Company. We stocked the bar full of tasty drinks including an array of different wines, soft drinks, premium beer and delicious homemade lemonade infusions.

Food wise we started off with some hot canapés including mini Yorkshire puddings with red onion marmalade, honey sausages and a fresh watercress salad, ‘posh fish ‘n’ chips’ with potato cubes and tartar sauce. Next, we served delicious hot bowls of goodness in the forms of confit lamb topped with cheesy mash and Thai green vegetable curry. Finally we topped off a brilliant night with two decadent desserts; hot mocha brownies with mini mallows and hot milk chocolate custard, and cardamom and apple pudding with dark and stormy custard.
